You will be part of a dedicated team and create memorable experiences for guests from all over the world. Sorrisniva AS is a year-round experience company located on the banks of the Alta River, just outside the center of Alta. The company is based on local traditions and values. Our Arctic Wilderness Lodge is open all year round with 24 suites and the restaurant Maku. In the winter, we also have our igloo hotel and an à la carte restaurant; Lavvu. Sorrisniva offers many exciting activities throughout the year. In addition to the restaurant in the evening, we serve breakfast and lunch, we arrange parties and have meeting activities. Sorrisniva AS is currently looking for full-time chefs for the winter season.
Sorrisniva delivers high-quality food and has a first-class kitchen. You will be part of a young and dedicated team of chefs who create memorable dining experiences every day. You must be a dedicated food enthusiast, experienced and eager to both adapt to our cuisine, but also be able to influence and share your experience. Good service to your team and our guests is one of the most important qualities you will have while working with us. The chefs report to their immediate manager, who is the head chef. The position involves day shifts, evenings and weekends. '
Tasks:
· All shifts; including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are important
· Be aware of allergies and special requests
· You will work in the Maku restaurant or Lavvu restaurant, with a first-class fine dining menu or à la carte
· Preparation, cooking and cleaning of the kitchen
· Presentation of dishes and guest contact
· Help where needed, have an overview of the whole and ensure the quality of the guest experience
Qualifications:
· Relevant education
· Good experience of working in a kitchen
· Genuine interest in delivering a great dining experience
· Preferably a professional certificate as a chef
· Good language skills. English, spoken and written, is a minimum.
