Come and work with us during our busiest season – the Arctic winter season. You will be part of a dedicated team and create memorable experiences for guests from all over the world. Sorrisniva AS is a year-round experience company located by the Alta River, just outside of Alta city center. The company is built on local traditions and values. Our Arctic Wilderness Lodge is open all year with 24 suites and the Maku restaurant. In winter, we also have an ice hotel and an à la carte restaurant, Lavvu. Sorrisniva offers many exciting activities throughout the year. In addition to the evening restaurant, we serve breakfast and lunch, organize parties, and host meetings.
We are currently looking for full-time chefs for the winter season. We need several chefs at various positions, breakfast chefs, and dishwashing staff.
Sorrisniva provides high-quality food with a top-class kitchen. You will be part of a young and dedicated team of chefs creating memorable dining experiences every day. You must be a dedicated food enthusiast, experienced and eager to adapt to our kitchen, but also able to influence and share your experience. Excellent service towards your team and our guests is one of the most important qualities you will bring while working with us. The chefs report to the head chef. The position includes day shifts, evenings, and weekends.
Job Duties:
· Various shifts, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
· Be attentive to allergies and special requests
· You will work in either the Maku restaurant or Lavvu restaurant, offering a top-class menu or à la carte
· Preparation, cooking, and cleaning of the kitchen
· Assist where needed, maintain an overview of the operation, and ensure the quality of the guest experience
Qualifications:
· Relevant education
· Experience working in a kitchen is preferred
· Genuine interest in delivering a great dining experience
· Professional certification as a chef is an advantage
· Good language skills. English, both spoken and written, is a minimum requirement
