Meet the Athletes

Holmen is, first and foremost, a racing kennel with forty years of history. The dogs you will meet are not a tourist team, but the athletes we breed, train and race in the longest sled races in the world. Meet the Athletes gives guests a genuine introduction to life with a racing kennel, followed by a run behind an active team.

Itinerary

• Arrival at Holmen and a welcome to the kennel
• Meet the team, with an introduction to our racing dogs and how we work with them
• Gear hand-out, with suits and boots provided if the weather requires them
• A ride behind an active team, with the guide driving
• Time with the dogs afterwards, to thank them for the run with cuddles and belly scratches
• Drinks, snacks and stories in the Lavvo, hearing about life with a racing kennel

Age restrictions

• Minimum age to participate is 5 years old
• Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult
