Our Creative Art Director reflects on this years build of the igloo hotel.
"This year, like all other years, has been very fun, but the cold came quite late and due to illness and other things, we have not been as many artists as before. That has been our biggest challenge this year. But a New Year means new opportunities and new experiences. Although we have been few, it has been the year that I have been most inspired by my artist colleagues. Seeing that everyone develops from year to year and it is rewarding. My biggest challenge this year was to make a reindeer out of ice. I had to make several sets of antlers due to bad luck where they broke in the process and time was quickly running out. The sculpture I have most enjoyed making is the portrait of Tor Kjetil. I am incredibly grateful for all the good responses I have received from visitors and other artists I look up to."
