Guide: Seasonal

Sorrisniva AS is a year-round adventure company located on the banks of the Alta River, just outside the center of Alta. The company is built on local traditions and values.

In addition to many exciting activities throughout the year, we have an Ice Hotel in winter, and the Arctic Wilderness Lodge year-round. The Arctic Wilderness Lodge consists of 24 suites, a restaurant, bar, lounge, and meeting room.

Sorrisniva AS is now looking for guides for the winter season 2023-2024. In the position of guide, good service and the role of host for our guests are important. We are also very concerned about safety for you and our guests and you will receive good training in our experiences.

As a guide, you work varied working hours: day, evening, weekend, and public holidays. We are therefore looking for a flexible person with good collaboration skills. You will be part of team Sorrisniva and must expect to take on guide assignments both alone and together with others

Tasks:

· Guide and host our guests

· Our winter experiences are many and you will have the opportunity to be a guide for the following experiences: Northern Lights experiences, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, hiking, guiding at the ice hotel, transport, storytelling, and team-building activities

· Possibility to be a personal assistant for guests

· Preparing equipment before and after the activities

· Diverse work related to the wilderness experiences

· Actively participate in offering guests activities that have not been booked in advance

Qualifications:

· Relevant industry experience

· Preferably education and/or courses as a guide

· Courses such as safety, risk analysis, HSE, or other relevant courses

· Must be adaptable and enjoy giving guests an unforgettable experience

· Enjoy the outdoors and being outside

· Good language skills. Norwegian and English, oral and written, is a minimum
